Ritual Causality 003
Black Quantum Futurism is a collaboration between musician Moor Mother and writer Rasheedah Phillips who has created an intersectional theory and practice combining quantum physics, futurist traditions, and Black and African diasporic cultural traditions of consciousness, time, and space. BQF focuses on developing temporal technologies adapted to suit marginalized peoples’ survival in a “high-tech” world dominated by oppressive, fatalistic linear time constructs. Ritual Causality 003 is a performative reading that deconstructs linear temporalities using text, projections, and live sound experimentation with electronics. During the performance, BQF will weave science fiction realities with African concepts of time, ritual, and sound, presenting innovative works that offer practical ways for escaping time loops, oppression vortices, and the digital matrix.
