Gerald Nestler is an artist, author, and sometimes curator, who explores what he calls the “derivative condition” of contemporary social relations and its paradigmatic financial models, narratives, operations, and processes. He combines theory and postdisciplinary conversation with video, installation, performance, text, code, graphics, and sound to map out counter-fictions and -imaginations of a "renegade activism." He is developing an "aesthetics of resolution" within forums and sites that allow the experimental production of "demonstrations" as a combined artistic, technological, and social practice.
